James Wesley Lowe, 82, of Lumberton, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday April 27, 2024.
James was born July 27, 1941, in Scrappin’ Valley, Texas to Wesley Thomas and Winnie Opal Lowe. He moved to Loeb, Texas at an early age and attended Loeb school through the 8th grade. He later attended Silsbee High School. After graduating high school in Kountze, Texas he met and married the love of his life, Billie Jo Ishmael. James started work at Harold Lee Engineering in Lumberton on Labor Day 1960 and worked there for over 40 years until it closed in 2000.
James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was always ready to lend a hand to any of them when there was a need. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He could usually be found at a sporting event, dance recital, deer lease, on the floor or even in his garden making memories with them. He loved telling and retelling all those memories! He also loved telling stories of his adventures growing up in Loeb with his brother, sister and lifelong friends. While growing up, he never missed a chance to visit Scrappin’ Valley and stay with his uncle. He loved to work in his garden and produce vegetables to share with his family, friends and neighbors.
James is preceded in death by his father Wesley Thomas Lowe and his mother Winnie Opal Lowe.
