James “Jim” Musgrove, 71, of Kyle, Texas, and formerly of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at his residence. Jim was chosen by Burl and Mildred Musgrove, and raised by JD and Mildred Walton.
Jim retired from Exxon/Mobil after over 33 years of service, as an operator. He was a United States Air Force veteran, where he served as a pharmacist. He will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, dogs, the Dallas Cowboys, and his cheese phobia. Jim enjoyed playing dominoes, especially 42, and possessed a unique ability to tell every Boudreaux joke ever known, along with the Cajun accent to go with it.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Linda Musgrove; sons, Douglas Musgrove, Danny Price and his wife, Candace, and Shaun Damon Price and his wife, Ami; daughters, Shirley Price and her fiancé, Michael Woolley, Michelle Chesson and her husband, Bubba, and Cindy Musgrove; Mr. Musgrove is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
