James "Jimmy" West

James “Jimmy” West, 71, of Evadale passed away February 12, 2021.  He graduated from Evadale High School and Angelina College Welding School, worked his entire career in the SE Texas area in the refineries and papermill, loved to hunt, fish and raise hell.  Jimmy proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp during Vietnam and was very proud of his football career at Evadale High School, but above all loved his family. Jimmy is preceeded in death by his mother Cecilia West and father Cecil West, his only sister Joan West Adkins,  brothers, Steve West, Norman West, and Cecil West Jr.   He is survived by his wife Cathlene West, son and daughter-in-law, James Allen and Kandice West; daughter and son-in-law, Christi Marie West Meyer and Kristopher Meyer; son, William Luke West; daughter and son-in-law, Christie Gail West Crites and James Crites.  Jimmy is also survived by his grandchildren, Emily, Austin, Kyra, Charles, Lilly, Lacey, Cherstin, Joshua, Kayla, Kylie, Nikki, Skyler, Tyler, Austin and Angelina; greatgrandchildren, Liam, Aria, Leo, Melody, Avery, Eric and Kylan; his brother Brian West and his mother-in-law Hazel Wood and by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
