Janie Phillips Guinn, 98, of Silsbee, left this life to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 04, 2026. She was born Tuesday, January 31, 1928, to Everett Preston Wilkins and Aliska Marie (Miculka) Wilkins.
Janie was a longtime member at First Baptist Church in Silsbee, Texas. She loved her family, animals, enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, playing dominos, and Sudoku, but one thing that she was known for is her 43 years of teaching school. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Leon M. Phillips, Jr.; and her husband of 12 years, Robert H. Guinn.
Survivors include her sons, Leon M. Phillips III (Lonnie) of Silsbee, William Phillips (Bill) and his wife Debbie of Jasper; her daughter, Marjorie Parker (Margie), and her husband, Thomas Parker of Beach City; grandchildren, Daphne Grammer and her husband Brian of Dallas, Erienne Lewis and partner Dean Burleson of Huffman, Holly Minks and her husband Justin Minks of League City, and Jenna Paige Willis and husband Richard of Port Lavaca; and 12 great-grandchildren.
