Jason Morgan Obituary

Jason Daniel Morgan, 52, of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his residence. He was born on Sunday, June 10, 1973, in Beaumont, to Marvin Morgan and Shirley Smallwood.

To know Jason was to know love and laughter, his personality could fill any room he entered. He was known for his quick wit and sarcasm. Jason took great pride in his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews; to him, they could do no wrong; and he always made sure they knew they could achieve any dream they had. Jason enjoyed firearms, motorcycles, music, cigars, and a good aged scotch. He was a member of Journey Church, which quickly became his second home. He loved his family immensely, especially his grandchildren. Jason was a loving father, pawpaw, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He will be fondly remembered forever by his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Young; nephew Michael Lynn Morgan II; and niece Kayla Nicole Morgan.

Survivors include his children, Cassie Black, and her husband James, Steven Miller, and Layla Morgan, and her fiancé, Jaxin Morales; grandchildren, Adalee, Paislee, Paxton, and Preslee Black; father, Marvin Morgan, and his wife, Virgie; brothers, Louis Morgan and wife Cooney, Mike Morgan and his wife Terri, Artie Morgan, Butch Warner and wife Dawn, and Lynn Bland; sisters, Heather Reed and husband Tracey, Lynda Parks, Brandy Drake and husband Randall; numerous nieces and nephews; furry sidekick Willie; and a host of other family members and friends.
