Jewel Ernest Stinnett, a long time resident of Silsbee, passed away on April 10, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewel Preston Stinnett and Amanda Lou Haney, his brother, Preston Stinnett, his son, Robert Stinnett, and daughter, Peggy Ann Doll. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Stinnett, his three sons, Jon Stinnett and wife Jana, Mike Stinnett, Steven Stinnett and wife Linh, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Jewel served in the Naval Reserve, and then in the Air Force for four years. He enjoyed a career in rehabilitation counseling and social services. Jewel loved traveling with his wife and working in their antique business. Family gatherings and time with grandchildren were always dear to his heart.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 14th at 1:00 pm immediately followed by the funeral at 2:00 pm at Farmer’s Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas. Burial will be at Knupple Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Pentecostal Church of Silsbee or St Jude's Children’s Hospital.
