Jim Tom Blacksher, 88, passed away January 10, 2021 at his home in Lumberton, TX. He was born to his parents, David and Myrtle Blacksher on July 25, 1932 in Nacogdoches, TX.
Jim was a Korean War veteran and he worked for Texaco for 46 years.
He is survived by wife, Earleen Blacksher; his daughter, Judy Longron and husband Todd; daughter, Sheri Broussard and husband Davin; his son, Joe Blacksher Sr. and wife Pamela; son, Kirk Blacksher and wife Tinna; daughter-in-law Elaine Blacksher; step-daughter, Rachel Byrd, step-daughter-in-law, Renee’ Byrd, his 15 grandchildren; his 28 great grandchildren; his five step-grandchildren; his great grandchild; his six great step-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Myrtle Blacksher and son, Robert Blacksher Sr.; his siblings, Lonzo Blacksher of Nacogdoches, Texas, Doc Blacksher of Nederland, Texas, Buford Blacksher of Mauriceville, Texas, Bob Blacksher of Bridge City, Texas and Marcella Deloach of El Dorado, Arkansas; his step-son, Steve Byrd and step-daughter Pamela Atwood.
Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Longron Jr., Cory Broussard, Robert Blacksher Jr., Joe Blacksher Jr. (honorary), Natasha Blacksher, Chris Atwood, and Jeff Hubert.
A graveside service will be held 1pm Thursday, January 14, 2021 at RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee, TX.
