Jo Ann (Hartman) Browning

Jo Ann Browning, 95, of Silsbee, passed from this life on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her home. She was born on Thursday, March 20, 1930, in Lubbock, Texas, to Augustus and Amelia (Wade) Hartman.

Jo Ann was a homemaker for most of her life. She had a great sewing ability, making clothing, dolls, and blankets. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially Texas Rangers baseball, and earlier in her life she loved gardening. Jo Ann will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother and cherished grandmother, whose love and support touched the lives of her family in countless ways.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Browning, and her husband, Lee Roy Patrick; grandchildren, Amanda Browning, and Justin Browning; great- grandchildren, Jace, Levi, Steel, and Hallie; as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, EJ Browning; sons, Larry, and Eddie Browning; and sisters, Pat Hamm and Betty Berry.
