Joe Sherman

Joe Sherman, 77, of Silsbee, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Beaumont. He was born on Thursday, January 15, 1948, in Lakeview, Michigan, to Raymond and Margaret (Johnson) Sherman.

Joe was an Equipment Operator in the construction industry for many years. He was an avid hunter and always enjoyed his dogs. He will be remembered for his giving spirit and his willingness to always assist others.

Survivors include his sisters; Arlene Davis, Donna Toth, and Nora Sharp; brother, Terry Sherman; nephew, Scott Davis; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends. He will be especially missed by his loving and faithful canine companion.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Sherman; son, Larry “Chopper” Sherman; and sisters, Jeanette Rickman, Joyce Shudy, and Beverly Abbott.

A memorial service for Mr. Sherman is scheduled for a later date. His cremation arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
