John Everette Hamshire

John Everett Hamshire, 56, of Silsbee passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born in Beaumont, Texas to John Arthur Hamshire and the late Virgie Ann (Haynes) Hamshire.

John worked as a correctional officer at TDCJ for six years. He enjoyed martial arts, singing and playing music. He was also a long-time member of Good Sheperd Baptist Church in Silsbee. John was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, Uncle, and friend; he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his father, John A. Hamshire; sons, Colton Hamshire, Chase Hamshire and wife Meagan; grandchildren, Avery and Logan Hamshire; sister, Laurie Hamshire; nephew, Hayden Hamshire; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, at 1:00pm with funeral services following at 2:00pm in the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel.
