John Hyde

John Hyde, 89, of Silsbee, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He was born on Friday, February 23, 1936, to Jesse Edgar and Annie Mae (Richardson) Hyde, in Tyler County.

John was a Mechanical Engineer and retired from Matrix Engineering after many years of service. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and especially fishing. He will be remembered for his fierce independence and his gentlemanly demeanor.

Survivors include his siters, Mary Lindsey, Carolyn Jones, and Betty Gandy and her husband, Don; his brother, Richard Hyde; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jessie Mae Behannon.

A graveside service for Mr. Hyde will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Hester Cemetery in Warren, Texas.
