John Louis King

John L. King, 87, of Kountze passed away Tuesday April 16, 2024. He was Born March 15, 1937 in Nachez, Mississippi to the late, John Archie King and Donnice Seale King.

John served in the Marine Corp; he was also a member of the Silsbee Masonic Lodge, and attended the New Life Baptist church in Kountze. When he was able, he enjoyed spending his time riding motorcycles and playing guitar. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather; he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by both parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

John is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; children, Brenda Conner and husband Michael, Diana King, Katherine Cleveland and husband Ronald, John King; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
