Jon Royce Obituary

Jon was born on January 28, 1962, in West Virginia and was raised in Oakridge, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois Royce; his siblings Mark Royce, Helen Royce, and Sheila DeLoe; and his brother-in-law Richard Martin, Renee’s husband. Jon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. For 29 years, he co-owned and operated Reflections Custom Framing and Engraving alongside his wife, Brenda. Through his work, Jon shared his creativity and craftsmanship with the community, creating meaningful pieces that will be treasured for years to come. More than anything, Jon was known for the way he loved people. He was generous to his core—the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He poured into others, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unwavering support. He was a father to many, a mentor, and a steady source of truth spoken with love. His presence was larger than life, earning him the nickname “Big Jon,” and his heart was even bigger. Jon had a deep love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Royce; his children, Michael Royce and spouse Christina, Shareesa Royce, Joey Smith and spouse Tiffeny, and Aneesa Royce and spouse Joshua Scoggin; and his siblings Renee Royce, Robin Royce, and Sheila’s spouse Richard DeLoe. He was a proud grandfather to Kiley Smith, Jason Smith, Gracelynn Smith, Nevaeh Smith, Katelyn Fowler, Abbey Phelps, AJ Phelps, Kaylee Guidry, Leigha Peavey, Kennedi Peavey, Jayse Peavey, Jaden Peavey, Kylie Ford, and Kryslee Prevost; and a loving great-grandfather to Faith, Axel, and Aiden. Jon had also several close family members his niece Heather Hammond and nephews Sean Royce, Jesse DeLoe, and Richie DeLoe, as well as many honorary family members who were deeply loved: Melissa Barry, Brian Smith; Nancy LeBlanc, Lauren Camacho, Brandon Camacho, and Bryan Camacho; and Teresa Punches and her children BJ, Ryan, and Lori. He was a faithful member of Oak Grove Harvest Assembly of God, where  he served as a deacon for 15 years and his love for God and others was evident in the way he lived his life. Jon found joy in life’s simple moments—watching movies with family, loving all things trains, riding motorcycles, his dogs and his soul dog, Blaze and sci-fi, and even writing poems. He had a creative mind and a gift for solving problems, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jon’s greatest joy was being a husband, dad, and “Bebaw” to his grandchildren. He loved deeply, gave freely, and made everyone around him feel seen, valued, and cared for. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Oak Grove Harvest Assembly of God in Spurger, Texas. Jon leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and generosity that will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. “All aboard we’re bound for forevermore.” - Jon Royce
