Leella “Mickey” Rogers, 86, of Live Oak, Florida, and formerly of Silsbee, died on Tuesday, December 30 2025 at her residence. She was born on Friday, November 17, 1939, in Warren, to Ike W. and Mary Lee (Nesmith) Nelson.
Mickey retired after many years of service as a clerk, working in paper and steel mills in the area. She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church of Buna, and will be remembered for her love of growing flowers, and square dancing. She will forever remain a loving mother, and Mimi.
Survivors include her sons, Curtis Rogers and his wife, Ethel, Danny Rogers and his wife, Lorinda, and Dennis Rogers and his wife, Carla; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her niece and nephews, Fay Phillips and Lee and Larry Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, L.C. “Herc” Rogers; sister, Irene Williams; and her brothers, Ikey and Buddy Nelson.
