Lena Jeanette Gore was carried by the arms of an angel into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday February 4, 2024. At the time of her journey into the presence of the lord she was 88.
Jeanette entered this world in Fal, Louisiana March 27, 1935, to parents Robert C. Isbell Sr., and Lena Blackmon.
She is preceded in death by both parents; three sisters; five brothers; and husband, Marvis Gore.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Grisham, with whom she lived and was cared for until the time of her journey; daughter JoAnn Barnard; son Russell Gore; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Jeanette worked at Silsbee Doctors Hospital as a Nurses aid and Ward Clerk for twenty-four years. She was a member of the genealogy society; she was in the national historical society. After her children reached adult hood, she went to Lamar University for three years. She did litter patrol. She enjoyed arrowhead hunting and had an extensive collection. Jeanette enjoyed fishing, and traveling to the point of making a special trip to Northern California so she could put her feet in the Pacific Ocean. She enjoyed traveling to various cemeteries looking for her relatives. That included Louisiana, Texas, and even Colorado where she found her great great grandmother.
This details some of her colorful and full life. To know Jeanette was to love her.
Her services will be held at Wiley Mae Pentecostal Family worship center Saturday February 10, 2024. Visitation will start at 1:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Her place of interment will be at RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are, Collin Sharp, Travis Sharp, Bob Isbell, Philip Isbell, Greg Isbell, Bryant Spurlock.
