Leroy "Bud" Durbin

Leroy “Bud” Durbin, 87, of Beaumont, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at Mill Creek Skilled Nursing Facility in Silsbee, Texas.. He was born on Saturday, October 1, 1938, in San Augustine, Texas, to Roy Leon and Susie Azalee (Byrd) Durbin.

Leroy owned and operated Silsbee D & H Motor Company for 30 years, and was the Used Car Manager for Morris Moore before that. He was a longtime and faithful member of Dawndale Baptist Church in Beaumont, where he kept the yard and grounds maintained. He will be remembered as a good and faithful servant to the Lord. In addition to church, Leroy enjoyed playing cards and dominoes, and loved chocolate ice cream and banana pudding.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Durbin and his wife, Tina, Roy Durbin and his wife, Dee, Ricky Lee, and Randy Lee; son-in-law Michael Mooney, daughters, Darlene Elmore and her husband, Melvin, and Arlene Robinson and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Dustin McCraw, Kendra Simmons, Brandon Parker, Tanner Durbin, Hannah Eason, Bess Elmore, Brock Robinson, Kamri Adams, Lauren Griggs, Landon Lee and his wife Alyssa, Layla Lee, Janie Lee, and Griffith Lee; sisters, Ronnie Luce and her husband, Mike, and Jennie Eberlan, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 40 years, Nell Durbin; his daughter, Beverly Mooney; his sisters, Sybil Hood and Ailene Sanders; and his brothers, Donnie, Kenneth, and Benny Durbin.
