Lewis Burch Obituary

Lewis E. Burch, 90, of Woodville, Texas changed his address to Heaven December 29, 2019.  He was born September 29, 1929 in Merryville, LA to Reverend Ed and Lillie Bell Tanton Burch.

Lewis served in the US Army Air Force in Germany during the Berlin air lift at the end of World War II.  He retired from Kirby Lumber Company and was an avid hunter and loved to fish.  Lewis was a musician for many years and played all kinds of music.

Mr. Burch is preceded in death by his parents; brothers A D “Shorty” Burch and Billy Ray Burch and sister Louise Burch Nixon.

Survivors include sisters Te Ti Cravey of Silsbee and Berttie Hathaway of Evadale. He is also survived by special niece Earlene Gore of Silsbee and extended family, Marsha Saph and family of Spurger and Marvin and Cathy Mott, also of Spurger.

Visitation will be at 12:00 pm Thursday, January 2, 2020 with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Reverend David Coudrain will officiate.  Interment will follow in Morse Cemetery in Buna.    

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Burch’s memory to the church or animal shelter of your choice.
