Linda Carol Herrington

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Herrington, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Linda loved her family deeply. Life wasn't always perfect, but one thing that never changed was her love for her children and her husband. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She also found joy in the outdoors. Whether she was fishing, canoeing, or spending time at the beach, nature brought her peace and some of her happiest moments.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James Spears and Dorothy Spears; and her brothers, Jimmy Spears and Johnny Spears.She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Herrington; her brother, Jeffery Spears, and his wife, Stacy; her children, Erica Tanton;

Melody Guyton and husband Jimmy Guyton; Danny Houston; Charles Herrington Jr. and his wife, Melinda Herrington; Rodney Herrington; and Ashley Herrington and niece Miranda Spears. She is also survived by numerous cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through those she loved so dearly.

A memorial service will be held by the family at Wiley Mae Community Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Friday, July 10th, 2026.
