Linda Nichols, 78, of Silsbee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Linda was born on August 31, 1947, in Savannah, Georgia, to Glen and Viola Hardestie. She was a woman of strong faith whose love for the Lord guided her throughout her life. Linda was known for her strong opinions, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She loved to sing and could often be heard filling a room with music and joy.
An avid reader, Linda enjoyed spending time in her garden and had a special love for flowers. She also enjoyed playing games in her spare time. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with those she loved. Linda shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband and sweetheart, Norman “Nick” Nichols.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Glen and Harley Hardestie; and her sister, Carol Chisolm.
She is survived by her loving husband, Norman “Nick” Nichols; her children, Myleah Sanders, Norman Nichols Jr. (Lora), and Kristi Nichols; her grandchildren, Megan Williams (Brandon), Kass Sanders, Lona Cook, Billy Nichols (Bailey), Daniel Whitmire (Johnafay), and Kaitlyn Cox; and 16 cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Linda will be remembered for her faith, her strength, her love of family, her beautiful voice, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and unwavering spirit. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
