Linda Gail Parker Thomas

After a lengthy illness on Sunday May 21, 2023, God came and took Linda Gail Parker Thomas home. She was 18 days short of her 64th birthday.

Linda was born on June 8, 1959, to Doyal and Erma Parker in Jasper TX. She was a 1977 graduate from Jasper High School. She went to TSTI in Waco studying drafting engineering. Upon graduation from there, Texas Instruments in Lewisville TX hired her to work in their facility. She met and married Kevin Thomas April 30, 1982, and raised a son and lived in Lewisville for the past 43 years. Although not affiliated with any church Linda was a Christian and a firm believer in Jesus Christ and the right way to live.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Kevin Thomas of Lewisville TX. Her dad Doyal Parker of Jasper TX. Grandparents D. B. and Josie Rhodes, Henry, and Valeria Parker. Cousins William Jones, Ron Rhodes, and Justin Rhodes along with many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her son Cody Thomas of Lewisville TX, mom Erma Parker of Jasper TX, sister Debora Morgan of Little Cypress TX. Nephew Jamey Morgan and wife Rachel of Port Neches Texas, their two daughters Georgia and Winnie. Brother-in-laws Gil Thomas and Jay Thomas with his children Taylor Thomas and Holly Thomas. Aunts Patsy Herring and Joyce Rhodes, along with many cousins and friends left to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held at Dalton and Son Funeral Home of Lewisville TX on Wednesday May 23, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Linda will then be transported to Farmer Funeral Home located at 4:15 N 4th St. Silsbee TX. Visitation will be Tuesday May 30, 2023, from 12 to 2:00 PM with the funeral service being held in the Chapel immediately following at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Reverend Ronald Herring and Reverend Tommy Rhodes. Interment will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery located on FM 92 south of Fred Texas. Serving as Pallbearers will be Cody Thomas, Jamey Morgan, Roger Herring, Lane Rhodes, Leslie Rhodes, Jeff Rhodes, Randy Rhodes, and Kevin Rhodes. Honorary pallbearers MoLee Jones, Dorothy Jones Sutton, along with Gil Thomas and Jay Thomas.
