Linda Darnell Stem Sheffield, 81, of Silsbee, was promoted to Heaven on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
She was born on Monday, May 1, 1944, in Bessmay, to Floyd and Elizabeth (Gibbs) Stem. A longtime resident of Silsbee, she graduated from Silsbee High School in 1962, and Chenier Business College, in Beaumont, in 1963. Linda worked for Temple-Inland Paper Mill in Evadale, as a bookkeeper, for many years, then left to raise her children and assist with bookkeeping for her husband’s trucking company C&L Trucking. Linda will forever remain a loving mother and Maw Maw.
Survivors include her son, Michael Sheffield and his wife, Janet; twin daughters, Sharon Ratley and her husband, Raymond, and Karon Herrmann and her husband, Jay; grandchildren, Adrian Feazel and her husband, Joesph, Jennifer Sheffield, Sean Walker, Stephanie Ratley, USMC Cpl. Brenden Ratley and his wife, Piper, and Timothy Wallker and his wife, Juliaunna; great-grandchildren, Lilian and Lucas Thompson, Owen Feazel, Damian Walker, and Auburn Ratley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 45 years, Clarence Sheffield; sisters, Lena Hester, Opal Rice, and Vera Mae Watson; and many other family members.
