Linda Woodcock Obituary

Linda Joyce Woodcock, 75, of Silsbee, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Paradigm at The Pines Nursing Home, in Silsbee. She was born on Thursday, July 7, 1949, in Houston, to James Thurman and Frances (West) Carrell.

Linda retired from Helena Laboratories, in Beaumont, after many years as a Class A Machinist and Laser Technician. She enjoyed board games, swimming, traveling and in her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses.  She will be remembered as a selfless person with a big heart who went out of her way to help others. Linda will forever remain a loving Mother, Sister, Grandma, Great-Gran, Aunt, and friend.

Survivors include her son; Johnnie Vaught Jr. and his wife, Lori; daughter; Melanie Arnaud and her husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Zachary Vaught and his wife, Ashley; Samantha Vaught and her fiancé, Christian Cecil; Zach Chance and his wife, Vanessa; Dorian Tiller and her husband, Nathan; Taylor Fish and his wife, Cindy; Kourtney Arnaud; and John Arnaud and his fiancé, Ashley Morgan; almost 2 dozen great-grandchildren; brother; Terry Carrell; sisters; Wanda Gore and her husband, Jerry; Kathy Carraway and her husband, Sam; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 34 years, Joe Woodcock; brothers, Marvin Carrell, Charles “Chuck” Carrell, and James Earl Carrell; and her sister, Betty Gossett.
