Margaret Pierson, 76, of Silsbee, gained her beautiful angel wings on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Baptist Beaumont Hospital. She was born on Sunday, February 15, 1948, in Woodville, to Woodrow and Bonnie (Philmon) Kirkland.
Known affectionately as "Ms Margaret" to so many of the children in Silsbee, she owned and operated Ms Margaret's Daycare for over 32 years. She was babysitting for 'second generation' families when she retired in 2002.
She enjoyed fishing (she could out fish Walter every time), growing plants, going dancing with friends, and trips to the casino. But her world revolved around her family and grandchildren. She loved her family fiercely.
Survivors include her husband of over 59 years, Walter Pierson; daughters, Tami Winger, and her husband, Larry and Teri Hebert, and her husband, Danny; grandchildren, Tyler Drake, and his fiancé, Randie, Hunter Drake, Austin Hebert, and his wife, Alex, Destiny Winger, Brenden Winger and Paris Winger; great grandchildren, Clay, Dane, Kalley, Kensley and Kimberly; brother, Woody Kirkland, and his wife, Phyllis; sisters, Bonita Howell, Linda Riley, and Virginia Sawyer, and her husband Joe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Ray Kirkland; and her sister, Connie Harvill.
Margaret will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, Ma-Maw, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by so many.
