Margie V. (Monic) Beard

Margie V. Beard, 79, of Lumberton, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. She was born on Thursday, November 7, 1946, in Goose Creek, to Lloyd Antoine and Florene (Bowden) Monic.

Margie was Vice President of Roy Beard Contractor, the family business, and enjoyed flowers, reading, music, and especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were always the center of her life. She will forever remain a loving wife, mother, and Maw Maw.

Survivors include her husband of over 63 years, Roy Beard; son, Roy Beard Jr. and his wife, Marina; daughters, Laura Neichoy, and Cindy Ware and her husband, Bernard; grandchildren, Phil Speight and his wife, Chelsea, Ben Neichoy, Nathan Neichoy and his wife, Savanah, Roy Beard III and his wife, Kaitlin, Eli Neichoy and his wife Hayley, Jerry Ware and his wife, Regan, Hannah Beard, Luis Beard, Gabrielle Neichoy and her fiancé, Dylan Nelson, Andy Beard, and Daniel Beard; great-grandchildren, Roy, Isaiah, Sawyer, Adeline, Ella, Norrah, Emersyn, Jude, Nathanael, Liam, Kolson, Iylah, Hadleigh, Jennife, Kason, Rhett, and Annie; her sisters, June Peveto, and Jo Ann Marshall; brother, Thomas Monic and his wife, Cara; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended loving relatives and friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Lucas and Louis Neichoy; brother, Paul Monic; sister, Betty Monic; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Beard; and her son-in-law, Ben Neichoy.
