Marion “Popeye” Alfred White, 80, of Vidor, died Friday, January 31, 2025, at his residence. He was born on Saturday, July 7, 1944, in Orange, to Ollie Leonard and Gladys Vera (Langston) White.

Popeye was a United States Air Force Veteran, and worked in security. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Vidor. He will be remembered for his love for his family and telling stories of the old days. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus, singing gospel songs, bowling, fishing, and bingo. He also liked to crochet. Mr. White will forever remain a loving father, brother, and Paw Paw.

Survivors include his daughters; Gladys Fountain, and her fiancé, Richard, Rutha White, and her fiancé, Adam, and Crystal Sides; son, Bennie White, and his wife, Lori; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Lee White, and his wife, Lea, Horace J. White, and his wife, Kathy; sister, Doris Faye Eisfeldt, and her husband, Robert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norris Ray, Ted, and Eugene White; and his sisters, Leona Bell Dinscore, Cathy Lackey, and Sarah Taylor.
