Mark Allen Cox

Mark Allen Cox, 64, of Kountze passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born on July 8, 1958 in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late E.H. Cox and Louise Lee Cox.

Mark was a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan. Win or lose, they were his absolute favorite team. Ozzy Osbourne was his favorite musician and he was a huge fan. Mark married his wife, Kathy on October 17, 1995 and they were married nearly 28 years. Between the two of them, they had four children. He was known as a happy and positive person. Mark and his wife lived on what they called the “Cox Homestead” where he enjoyed working on his property and just being outdoors. Mark was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Taylor Martin.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Cox; daughters, Nikki Martin and husband Trey, Holly Henry and husband Tommy; stepsons, Richard Cox and wife Errin, Christopher Cox and wife Cassandra; sister, Janice Morain and husband Danny; grandchildren, Payton, Jackson, Slade, Jake, Aubrianna, Drake, Camron, Merrick, Stephanie, Apryl, Anthony; great grandchildren, Maddie, Brayden, Justin, Preston, Addie; nephews, Chris Hamilton and wife, Lam, Taylor Hamilton; numerous other family members and friends; and his beloved canine companion, Bentley.
