Mary Ada Eason Hinson, 96, of Votaw, passed from this life on Saturday, November 22, 2025. She was born in Votaw, and lived most of her life there, on Saturday, March 9, 1929, to Phillip O. and Amber (Wallace) Eason.
Mary managed her husband’s auto repair shop in Votaw for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, and was active with Shiloh Ministries making quilts, sewing, and volunteering in many other ways. Mary will forever remain a loving mother, sister, and Nee Naw.
Survivors include her children, Carl Martin and his wife, Beverly, Sue McConnell and, Johnny “Butch” Hinson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Diana Johnson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews for whom she had a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, R.Z. Hinson; her son, George David Martin Jr.; brothers, Milton, Melvin, and John Eason; and sisters, Helen Tipton, and Phyllis Eason.
