Mary Ann Johnston, 70, of Silsbee, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025. She was born in Palestine,Texas on Christmas Day, December 25, 1954, to Henry and Mary (Spence) Carter.
Mary Ann was a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for many years and was a friend of Bill W. for over 36 years. She will be remembered fondly by the countless people whose recovery she was a part of. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and they were involved in numerous charitable organizations. She was a staunch supporter of the Silsbee High School Marching Band and any other endeavors her grandchildren participated in. Mary Ann will forever remain a loving wife, mom, sis, and granny.
She is survived by her son; Daniel Taylor, and his wife, Rachel; step daughters, Sherlene Adkins, and her husband, Benny and Merlene Rainwater; step son, Daryl Johnston; grandchildren, Sam, Loraliegh, Chloe, Taylor, Tucker, Brent, Nicola and Daryl Jr; great grandchildren, Kayden, Kase, Baylor, Sawyer, Raelynn, Scarlett and Aspen; sister, Carolyn Benson; nieces, Amy Hicks-Hall, Stacy Montgomery and Darla Cahanin; nephews, Vernell Johnson, Don Cahanin and Jason Dupree.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 24 years, Dwaine Johnston; sisters, Laura Carter and Lois Hayes; and brothers, Arnold Northcutt and Earl Carter.
