Obituary
Mathew “Matt” Reid Parr, 65, of Friendswood, passed away Thursday March 9, 2023. He was born on January 15, 1958, in Houston, Texas to the late Robert Lee Parr and Joyce Janet Arledge.
Matt was a kind, hardworking man who loved to spend his time fishing, dancing, camping, and renting an RV and traveling the world. He also loved to selflessly pay it forward to strangers whenever he could. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy in which he dedicated six years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Parr and Joyce Janet Arledge; and brother, Robbie Parr.
He is survived by his two sons, Travis Par of Orangefield, Preston Parr and wife Meghan of Bridge City; grandson, Jaxxon Reid Parr; sister, Pam Langley and husband Dale of Silsbee; brothers, Clint Parr of Silsbee, Wade Parr of Midland; and a host of other family members and friends.
Matt will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
