Funeral services for Maxine Hargraves will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Farmer’s Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas and she will be laid to rest at the Landrum Cemetery in Fannett, Texas immediately following. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 21st .
Maxine was born in Saratoga, Texas on December 28, 1933, and moved into her Heavenly home on November 16, 2024. She was a Silsbee resident for most of her life and never met a stranger. She was a faithful member of New Covenant Assembly of God Church and was a living testimony of God’s love and faithfulness to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her late Husband, Richard Hargraves, her parents: Jesse Hollister and Luvada Foreman, her sisters: Jessye Fern Finley and Johnnie Faye Ferguson and her brothers: Doyle Hollister and Royce Hollister. She is survived by her sister: Elton Louise Coward, her brother: Lee Hollister and many, many nieces and nephews that love her dearly!
Maxine lived her life to the fullest and was like a ray of SON-light when she walked in the room. Her laughter would fill the air and the love that she carried seemed to always overflow on those around her. Our hearts truly grieve our loss but because of Christ, we can celebrate her gain.
