Michael “The Bee Man” Robert Bell, 71, of Silsbee, died Thursday May 9, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House, in Beaumont. He was born on April 24, 1953, in Germany. He was adopted, loved, and raised by Robert Earl and Ara Lorene (Horton) Bell.
Michael resided in Silsbee for many years, and was known as “The Bee Man” due to his working as a beekeeper, and delivering honey to all his friends and neighbors in the community. He will be remembered as an artistic person that knew the Word of God, and his love for eating. He will forever remain a fixture in the Silsbee community, and all those who were a comfort to him in his time there.
Michael is survived by his sister; Linda Pope, and her husband, Bob, of Glenpool, Oklahoma; and his brother, Jim Bell of Douglas, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Michael’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by his memorial service, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday May 25, 2024 at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel 415 N. 4th Street Silsbee, Tx. 77656. Michael’s cremation arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
