Monica Theresa (Mulrooney) Josey

Monica Theresa Josey, 81, of Silsbee, passed from this life on Saturday, October 11, 2025. She was born on Thursday, December 16, 1943, to Christopher and Bridgett (Joy) Mulrooney, in Newfoundland, Canada.

She married the love of her life, William (Bill) Josey in 1965, then he moved her from Canada to Texas, where she resided for the rest of her life. Monica was a member of North Hardin Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love of reading and shopping. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Chris Josey and his wife, Melonie, and Ken Josey and his wife, Carol;  grandchildren, Courtney Josey and her husband, Cleve Alford; Kelsi Lazo and her husband, Hector; Kerri O’Dell and her husband, Tyler; Cody Josey and his wife, Sarah; and Karley Clark and her husband, Dillon; great-grandchildren include, Darren Hooks; Addison Alford; Brianna, Aubreigh, Gabriella, and Rylee Lazo; Easton, Korbin, and Kenley O’Dell; Liam, Miles, Stetson, and Baby Baker, on the way, Josey; and Raylon Clark; and her brothers, Jack and Phil Mulrooney.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 38 years, William (Bill) P. Josey Jr.; and her brothers, Dennis, Tom, and Joe Mulrooney.
