Mulqueen (Flanakin) Lindsey

Mulqueen (Flanakin) Lindsey, 85, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was born on August 4,1936 in Jasper, TX to Sam and Mary Sue Harris Flanakin.   Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Carl Lindsey; granddaughter Tracy Fletcher and husband Jay and their family; sisters Betty Flanakin and Virginia Baker.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law Bonnie Flanakin and Glenda Sue Flanakin and brother-in-law Charles Lindsey and wife Gwen, their daughter Alena and her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jeff Lindsey, stepsons Guy Lynn Lindsey and Wayne Lindsey, eleven sisters and three brothers.

"Mullie", as she was lovingly known by family and friends, volunteered at the Christian Care Center and Crime Victims Assistance for many years.  She loved bowling and spending time at their place on Lake LIvingston where she and Carl trot-lined, once catching an 86-pound catfish.  Mullie was employed by Southwestern Bell for 29 years and loved to travel.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lindsey will be 2 pm Wednesday at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Antioch Cemetery in Buna.  Visitation will begin at 1 pm until time of service.
