Nell Wheeler

Nell Lucille Wheeler, 82, of Kountze passed away Sunday August 24, 2025. She was born January 26, 1943, in Fred to the late Phillip and Palmer Haynes.

Nell actively attended the First Baptist Church in Kountze for many years, she also enjoyed cooking, canning, making jellies, and tending to her yard and flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Wheeler Sr.; both parents; brothers, Earnest, Charlie, and Jerry Haynes; and sister AnnaLetha Hall.

Nell is survived by her step children, Lee Wheeler Jr. and his wife Gloria, Bernice Reeves, and Clint Wheeler and his wife Sharon Roy Wheeler and his wife Patty, and Cody Wheeler; 3 granddaughters; 5 grandsons; multiple great grandchildren; sister Sallie Crain; and a host of other family members and friends.
