Nellie M. Parker

Nellie M. Parker, 102, of Silsbee, died Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. She was born on Tuesday, September 5, 1922, in McAllen, Texas.

Nellie enjoyed working in her yard and gardening and she raised poodles and chihuahuas. She was a member of New Life Tabernacle and will be remembered for her excellent cooking skills. In her youth, she owned a restaurant called Nell’s and served Mexican and American food. Nellie will forever remain a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Nannette “Cissy” McMillion; grandchildren, Joseph Dailey, Anne-Marie McGreevy, Theresa Rankine, Tanner McMillion, Hannah McMillion and Issac McMillion; and great grandchildren, Emmett, and Levi McMillion, Katharine Parker and Aaliyah Rankine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Clem Parker Jr.; son, Richard Parker; sisters, Mary Goldsmith, Connie Gomez, Vera Rangel, and Gloria McDonald; and 2 brothers.
