Olga Sue Phillips David, know to all of us as Sudie, was born on August 6, 1930 in Beaumont, Texas to Olga and Garnett Phillips. At 90 years of age, on Sunday, May 23, 2021, Sudie peacefully entered into her eternal rest with all of her family present, reading scripture, singing songs of praise and worship.
She attended South Park schools where she was in the Drum and Bugle Corp and Glee Club. She was a member of the graduating class of 1947. After moving to Silsbee, she met and married Horace Carroll David Jr. She was an active member of FBC Silsbee and a member the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Dorthy Samaha, one brother, James Phillips, and a grandson, Nathan Johnston.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Carol and Steve Thompson of Chacauco, Ecuador, Jane and Charles Powell of Silsbee, Harry and Vivica David of Kirbyville, and Lynn and Randy Kiker of Lumberton. She is grandmother to 10 and great grandmother to 22 and counting.
