Patricia Ann (Ard) Moore

Patricia Ann (Ard) Moore, 72, of Fred passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was born on October 9, 1949 in Silsbee, Texas to Ruby Adams And and the late JC Ard. 

Patricia was a longtime resident of Fred and a member of Good Samaritan Fellowship Church. She was the food service director for Warren ISD for many years. She also worked in the nursery at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Fred for over 30 years where she was lovingly known as “Ms. Pat”.  Patricia loved children and people in general and would take anyone in as her own. She was always doing anything she could for everyone and truly had a servant’s heart. Patricia was a loving mother to her children and MeMe to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. 

She is preceded in death by her father, JC Ard; her grandparents, Turner and Cordie Ard; and brother, James Ard. 

Patricia is survived by her mother, Ruby Lee Ard; sisters, Janice Wood and husband Ricky and Sheila Lane and husband Murray; children, Roy “Burt” Moore Jr. and wife Shannon, Latricia Cravy and husband David; grandchildren, Tiffany Worthey and husband Bailan, Taylor Turner and husband Caleb, Shelby Taylor and husband Randall, Samantha Deal,"MeMe's handsome grandson" Roy Burton “Troy” Moore III, Gracie Moore; great grandchildren, Bailey Ann Worthey, Rena Mae Worthey, Wyatt Deal, Gracelynn Taylor, JR Taylor, and future baby “butterbean” Turner on the way. In addition to her loving family, she also leaves behind many dear friends. 

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Good Samaritan Fellowship Church in Fred with burial to follow at Baker-Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2-3PM.
