Philip G. Dozier

Philip G. Dozier, 81, of Town Bluff passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Philip was born October 5, 1939 in Welsh, Louisiana to Evelyn and Phil Dozier.

Philip was a lifelong resident of the Town Bluff area. He started working in the oil fields around Louisiana then moved to Texas. He worked for the railroads for a short time but ultimately would become self-employed. Philip became a general contractor in the area and helped many people along the way.

Philip is survived by his wife Judy; his daughter, Beverly Hunt and husband Harold; his daughter, Pam Miller and husband Art; his son, Donald Dozier and wife Shay; his grandchildren, Corey, Lindsey, Kristen, Jenna, and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Charlie and Aurora; his sister, Shirley Zahn and husband Carl; his numerous nieces and nephews; along with other loving family members and friends.

Philip is preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters, Barbara Williamson and Carolyn Mitchell

A visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, from 6-8pm at Farmer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2pm at Village Mills Cemetery.
