Randy James Burt

Randy James Burt, 61, of Buna passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born May 16, 1960 in Jasper, Texas to James H. Burt and Billie Sue Gilchriest Burt.

Randy was an elevator mechanic for Schindler Elevator Unit IUEC Local 31. He was a Mason for many years and served as Pass Master for the Buna Masonic Lodge 1095. Randy enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a true passion for riding motorcycles. Randy made many lifelong friends through Masonry and motorcycles. He was a loving husband, son, father, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Greg “Blue” Burt; and his first wife, Pamela Kim Burt.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Melinda Burt of Buna; father, James H. Burt and wife Carolyn Sue of Buna; mother, Billie Sue Burt of Buna; children, Jeramy Burt and wife Michelle of Sanford, North Carolina, Joshua Burt and wife Kaitlin Burt of Nederland, Kristin Burt and husband Patrick of Qatar; Keri Palmer and husband Michael of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Aaron Castolenia and wife Luz of Raleigh, North Carolina, Elizabeth Moore of Buna, John Castolenia and wife Ashley of Vidor, Jeremy Castolenia and wife Brittany of Bridge City; brothers, Scott Burt and wife Cynthia of Caneyhead, John Burt and wife Cathy of Buna, Jason Burt and wife Michelle of Buna; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening September 29, 2021 from 5-9PM.
