Robert F. Ramer Sr., 89, of Spurger joined the love of his life Lillian Barnes Ramer on November 4, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1934 in Spurger, Texas to the late Ben J. Ramer and Ruth Cunningham Ramer.
Robert was an electrician with Eldridge Electric for over 22 years and was electrical inspector for the City of Beaumont for 17 years before retiring. Robert held a master electrical license for many years. He was a 66 year member of IBEW Local Union 479, a 59 year member of Snow River Masonic Lodge #385 in Spurger, a member of Spurger Eastern Star Chapter #315, and a member of the Texas Scottish Rite in Galveston, Texas. He and Lillian were also members of the Spurger Lions Club. Robert was always ready and willing to help anyone in need until he was physically unable to do so at age 87!
Robert is survived by his daughter, Teri Wells; son, Robert Ramer Jr. (Stacey); grandchildren, Tina Bosch (Mike) and their daughter Kelly Shaw (Mason); Sarah Wells (Cody) and their daughter Sophia; Jeffery Ramer, and Cheri Harrison (Dr. Alan Harrison) and their children Sam, Oliver, and Amelia.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 57 years, Lillian Ramer; and one great grandson, Brian Bosch which he was so very proud of.
A masonic graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Intrepid Hospice for the dedicated love and care they gave to their dad.
Cremation services will be held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
