Robert Louis Stewart Jr.

Robert Louis Stewart Jr., seventy-four, of Lumberton passed away on Thursday, December 5,2024. He was born in Beaumont on November 7, 1950, to the late Robert Louis Stewart Sr. and Dorothy Mae Green Stewart and was a life-long resident of Silsbee, Texas.

Robert was a faithful servant of God and an unashamed witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed participating in Bible studies, supporting various ministries like Bible Study Fellowship, and investing in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked in the international oil field, allowing him to travel and experience many parts of the world. He had an unrivaled work ethic in the world of pipeline welding and weld inspection. Robert was also a true craftsman on many family projects and a captivating storyteller of his many experiences. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a very proud Texan, a devoted Astros fan, and a passionate family man. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-two years, Judy Stewart; parents, Hoot and Dorothy Stewart; mother-in-law, Ethel Apshire; and sister-in-law, Vickie Stewart.

Robert is survived by his two sons, Chad and wife Amie, Joshua and wife Jamie; daughter, Corrie; grandchildren, Jacob, Dustin, Dylan, Kristen, Isaiah, Jeb, Elijah and wife Kristen, Luke, Leah, Addison, and Levi; great grandchildren, Asher, Jaylee, Klaire, Karmen, Kash, Madelyn, and Jolene; brothers, Sammy, Mark and wife Kathy, and Clint and wife Janet; and a host of other family members.
