Robert Truman Biskamp Sr. (Brownie), 94, of Silsbee passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2023. He was born on October 19, 1928 in Gist, Texas to the late Eddie William Biskamp and Grace Denby Biskamp.
Brownie was the self-employed owner of Biskamp electric in Silsbee. A still thriving family business that dates back nearly 50 years. He supported countless charities including Go Texan, Silsbee Little League, high school football, high school baseball, and many others. Brownie was the 2022 citizen of the year and businessman of the year. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, and working with his backhoe. Most of all, Brownie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of Faith Christian Center in Silsbee. Brownie was a cherished member of the community but above all else he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather (who always had a popsicle on hand for his grandkids!) He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
Brownie is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Doris Biskamp; children, Kevin Biskamp and wife Christie, Steven Harrison and wife Wendy, Rocky Biskamp, Laura Biddle and husband Julius, Bob Biskamp and wife Dianne, Charlotte O’Rouke and husband Ted; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
