Ronald Lee Sossaman

Ronald Lee Sossaman, 73, of Kountze, died Monday, July 1, 2024 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, in Beaumont. He was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1950, in Beaumont, to John Cecil and Dororthy Emily (Purser) Sossaman. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Navy and enjoyed fishing and working in his yard.

Survivors include his daughters, Phyllis Shaffer, and her husband, Roger, of Silsbee; Emily Sumner, and her husband, Rusty, of Silsbee; and Shannon Runnels, and her husband, James, of Vidor; grandchildren, Dustin Marshall, Shelby Shaffer, Curtis Day, Brenda Grace Day, Jacob Neff, Madison Neff, Annabelle Runnels, and Joseph Travis; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Pat Sossaman, and his wife, Julie; sisters, Sandra Burks, and her husband, Walter; Linda Murphy, and her husband, Allen; Deborah Richey, and her husband, Dale; Janet Sossaman; and Phyllis Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his Parents; and his wife, Betsy Marie Sossaman.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Sossaman’s cremation arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home 415 N. 4th Street Silsbee, Tx. 77656.
