Roy Gene Duncan

Roy Gene Duncan, 81, of Kountze passed away Friday, April 9, 2021. He was born July 2, 1939 in Austin, Texas to the late John and Leeta Duncan.

Roy was a hardworking man who loved his family. Roy married his sweetheart Janice on June 28, 1986 and they shared nearly 35 wonderful years together. They loved each other deeply and when they were together they were just like two kids, enjoying life and enjoying each other.  Between the two of them, they had five children and six grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and had many great times with his family.  Roy loved people. He was very social and easy to talk to which made him a quick friend to all. Roy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Leeta Duncan; and three brothers, Tommy Duncan, Dean Duncan, and Gerald Duncan.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Janice Duncan; children, Barry Wade Duncan and wife Delilah, Toi Dickerson; step children; Cindy Caldwell and husband Jim, Barry Hargraves and wife Billie, Timothy Hargraves; grandchildren, Brandon Hargraves and wife Brittany, Kayla Hargraves, Alex Fadhli and wife Lindsey, Dillon Dickerson, Dalton Dickerson, Cody Carden; sister Billie Trigg; and numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville. Visitation will be held at the graveside one hour prior to the service.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Brocato, Trey Brocato, Nick Brocato, Feller Bryan, and Reece Graffagnino.
