Rudy Rawls Obituary

James Allen “Rudy” Rawls III, 26, of Silsbee passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020. He was born on September 12, 1994 in Beaumont, Texas to James Rawls Jr. and Mona Coplen Rawls.

He was known as “Rudy” to most everyone that knew him. He was a kind man with a big heart that would never hesitate to help someone in need. Rudy loved to joke around and spend time with family and friends. He collected guns and knives and loved cruising around on those “dirty roads” as he liked to call them. He had many, many friends and he loved his dog, Bruce. Rudy was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Rawls Sr. and Bill Coplen; uncle, Billy Coplen, and nephews, Ethan Rawls and Michael Smith.

Rudy is survived by his loving parents, James Jr. and Mona Rawls; sisters, Lindsey Ratcliff, Megan Rawls, Kasey Smith, and Tonya Ong; nephews, Levi and Jude Ratcliff, Trevor Smith; nieces, Shelby Slack, Charysse McDaniel, Madisyn McDaniel; grandparents, Harold and Jean Hensarling, Sharon Coplen; his beloved dog, Bruce; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cullen Thompson, Hunter Smith, Justin Chaney, Edward Middleton, and Josh Hutto.

A graveside service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2PM.

Services are held under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
