Ruthie Morie (Higgins) Clubb

Ruthie Morie Clubb, 83, of Winnie, died Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston. She was born June 15, 1940 in Paris, Texas and was a cook and manager, of several restaurants in the area.

Ruthie was an animal lover and will be remembered for her giving and caring nature, taking care of others with rides to Doctor’s appointments and assistance with anything needed. She loved to sing gospel music and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Winnie. She especially loved family gatherings. Ruthie will forever remain a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandma.

She is survived by her daughters; Debra McGown, and her husband, John Waites; Shebra Ewings, and her husband, Kenneth; Theresa Vayon, and her husband, Jimmy; step-daughter, JoAnn Lewis; step-son, Darrell Nolan; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Higgins, and his wife, Doylene; sisters, Lynn Amato, and her husband, AJ; and Darlean Attaway, and her husband, Gary. Ruthie was preceded in death by her husbands; Thomas Robert McGowan Ernest Nolan and Kirby Clubb; her parents, Bill and Annie Morie Williams and Floyd and Jolene Higgins; great grandson, Brett Lee Myers; and brother, Larry Higgins.

A gathering of Mrs. Clubb’s family and friends will begin at 1;00 PM Saturday June 15, 2024 with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM, at Farmer Funeral Home 415 N. 4th Street Silsbee, Texas 77656. Interment will immediately follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
