Sherry Dell (Wagnon) Mezger

Sherry Dell Mezger, 74, of Beaumont, died Saturday, August 3, 2024. She was born on December 2, 1949, in Warren, to C.B. and Wilma (Lee) Wagnon.

Sherry was a Loan Processor in the banking industry and enjoyed camping, gardening, and family holidays. She will forever remain a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ronnie Grimes; daughter, Amy Ivey, and her husband, Romney, of Silsbee; son, Kevin Wheeler, and his wife, Melissa, of Spring Branch; grandchildren, Sarah Overstreet, Kayla Ezernack, Reagan Skaggs, Emily Chapman, and Austin Wheeler; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Beverly Callaway; brother and sister-in-law, Patricia, and Fred Pennington; sister-in-law, Linda Grimes; and brother-in-law, Clyde Taylor; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lavone Taylor; brother, Athel Leon Wagnon; brother-in-law, Mickey Grimes; brother-in- law and best friend, Bert Callaway; and her aunt and uncle, Bobbie, and J.W. Marcontell.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Farmer Funeral Home 415 N. 4th Street Silsbee, TX 77656. Her interment will immediately follow at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery, in Warren.
