Shirley Darlene Laurent

Shirley Darlene Laurent passed away peacefully on April 4, 2021 in Silsbee.  Shirley was born on September 28, 1954 to her parents, Elmer “Buddy” Curtis Laurent and Ruth Evelyn Crain-Laurent in Silsbee, Texas.

Shirley was a commendable woman who spent countless hours serving others. She and her sister volunteered at Kountze Nursing Home doing a variety of activities. Shirley was very outgoing and a joy to be around. To know her was to love her. Shirley had such a kind and caring heart that extended to everyone. She loved to dance and enjoy social activities such as bingo. In her later years, she will be remembered as the life of the party at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home. Family meant everything to Shirley and her love knew no bounds.

Shirley is survived by her son, Anthony Eason and wife, Candy of Silsbee; her daughter, Christy Crites and husband, James of Silsbee, her daughter, Judy Thompson and husband, Brandon of Pearland; her brothers, Herman, Curtis, and Tommy Laurent of Spurger; her sisters, Sarah Richardson of Silsbee, Rosie York of Silsbee, and Mae Page of Burnett; her ten grandchildren; her six great grandchildren; her uncle, Budro Crain; her aunt, Shirley Foster; her numerous nieces and nephews; along with other loving family members and dear friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Ruth Laurent; her brother, Richard "Bud" Laurent; along with her sisters, Betty Lois, Joann Rich, Lucy Lindsey, and Mary Dryden.
