Sidney Gerald Simon

Sidney (Sid) Gerald Simon, 95, of Beaumont passed away Monday January 22, 2024. He was born June 6, 1928 in Louisiana to the late Sidney Felix Simon and Helena Eliot Simon.

Sid was a veteran of the Korean War. After being in the military he went to school earning a degree in mechanical engineering, and then owning his own consulting company. He was a member of the Beaumont area for 70 years.

Sid enjoyed living an active life style that included, going out to eat, playing pool, and woodworking. He built several pieces of furniture and pool tables. He and his son David enjoyed sitting around a fire and visiting with the fire department on the few occasions they had to come out. Sid was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by both parents; loving wife Syble Marshall Simon.

Sid is survived by his son, David Simon and wife Christy of Fred; grandsons, Seth and Troy Simon of Orange; sister, Anita Smith Ek and husband Steven of Lake Charles; and a host of other family members and friends.
