Stephen Allen Hooks

Mr. Stephen Allen Hooks, 74, of Connelly Springs passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at UNC Blue Ridge in Morganton, following a period of declining health.
Stephen was born December 14, 1949 in Hardin County, Texas to the late Felix Hubert Hooks and Margie Haas Hooks. He was a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester Harrison, Wayne Harrison, and Curt Hooks; and step father, Elisha Buttler “Jr.”.
Survivors include his wife, Madge Terry Hooks of the home; children, Cindy Phillips and husband David of Connelly Springs, Richard Byrd and Paula Pennell of Conover, Dennis Byrd and Summer Evans of Hudson, Stephanie Hooks and David Craig of Connelly Springs, and Tony Hooks and wife Nikki of Connelly Springs; sister, Gale Hooks of Spurger, TX; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Friday, May 24, 2024 in the Chapel of Mackie Funeral Service with the Rev. Danny Wright and Rev. Daniel Buchanan officiating.
A graveside service will be held at at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger, TX. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
